Biography

Stephanie Stocking is a marketing and visual communications professional based on the western slope of Colorado. She thrives on new challenges and enjoys being a part of the constant evolution of how we consume, create, and communicate through multimedia. She finds joy at the intersection of technology, observation, and visual communications. 

A professional background working with diverse audiences in public libraries and marketing public organizations influences how she approaches new projects. She is specifically excited to work with clients that may be considered the underdogs or have previously had trouble conveying their value to their constituents in an effective, compelling manner.

While photography has always had a place in her heart, it wasn’t until 2017 that she decided to commit to allowing visual communications to consume every aspect of her life. Enrolling in the Professional Photography program at Colorado Mountain College was a life-changing and rewarding experience, providing numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. She was awarded silver in the Interpretive Eye category during the 73rd College Photographer of the Year competition. 

Career-wise, Stephanie works full-time in the marketing department at Colorado Mountain College where she is fortunate to create and edit various forms of multimedia for use in day-to-day college communications. Her photography has been featured in larger college promotional efforts, including a campaign within Denver International Airport.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being a quasi-contemporary landscape photographer exploring the endlessly fascinating and turbulent relationship between humans and nature in the modern West, particularly exploring the serendipity that comes with photographing the found situation.
